ABOUT OUR COMPETITIVE PROGRAM
EDGE CO is our competitive dance company that houses our Mini Co, Petite Co, Comp Co & Pre Pro dancers.
Mini Co, Petite Co & Comp Co are the CEDC competitive dance companies. The team is trained by our on-staff instructors, whose goals are to pull the best out of each dancer and get them to the next level in their performance skills and abilities. Each prospective dancer will audition each year for placement on the team. The members participate in local performance opportunities, extensive training from our in-house and guest instructors, and regional competitions events. Comp Co dancers are ambassadors of CEDC and thus must stay positive, be prepared, and be courteous and professional in and out of the studio to others (dancers, students, parents, instructors, etc.). Specific class enrollment and rehearsal commitments are required for team consideration.
Pre Pro is our Pre-Professional Company focusing on giving each dancer an individual and unique training track towards their advanced goals. This company is hand selected by the directors and will not hold separate auditions to determine placement. In addition to the Edge Co competitive outlet, dancers are given an intense training experience, local performance opportunities, as well as regional and national training and competitive opportunities. The individualized track training program is implemented by the CEDC staff, who will work with each member to help them achieve their personal goals in the dance world, from becoming a professional performer, attending a specific dance school, to auditioning for performance opportunities, or running their own future dance company. We will provide the growth guidance and training direction they need to succeed.
