EDGE CO is Creative Edge Dance Center's competition + pre professional dance companies. It offers an experience for dancers at all stages in their dance journey — from the beginner just starting to test the waters of competition and performance life, the intermediate level dancer that has a passion for stage time and a competitive, hard working nature, to the more advanced level dancer who is looking for further guidance and training in a pre-professional world of the art form.
Edge Co: Comp Co & Mini Co are trained by our in-house staff instructors, whose goals are to pull the best out of each dancer and get them to the next level in their performance skills + confidence as well as their technical abilities. Each prospective dancer will audition each year for placement on the team. The members participate in local performance opportunities, extensive training from our in-house and guest instructors, and regional and national competition exposure. All Edge Co dancers are ambassadors of CEDC and thus must stay positive, be prepared, and be courteous and professional in and out of the studio to others (dancers, students, parents, instructors, etc.). Specific class enrollment and rehearsal commitments are required for team consideration.
Edge Co: Pre Pro is an advanced program that focuses on giving each dancer an individual and unique training track. This company is hand selected by the directors, and will not hold separate auditions to determine placement. In addition to the Edge Co competitive outlet, dancers are given a more intense training experience, but still includes local performance opportunities, as well as regional and national performance and training opportunities. We aim to work with each member to help them achieve their personal goals in the dance world, from becoming a professional performer, attending a specific dance school, to auditioning for performance and collegiate or professional opportunities, and choreography composition experience. CEDC will provide the growth, guidance and training direction they need to succeed.

Auditions:
SATURDAY & SUNDAY, MAY 16 & 17
Saturday, May 16th:
Dancers will learn various dance combinations (dance class style) where they can ask questions and use the studio space. We will go over expectations and the audition process for the following day. Times are listed below! Dancer should attend their age group *ages as of Jan. 1, 2027
SATURDAY, MAY 16 SCHEDULE:
10am-Noon - Ages 13+
Noon-1:30pm - Ages 9-13
1:30-2:30pm - Ages 8 and under
Sunday, May 17th:
Dancers will return to audition in small groups with the movement and information they receive the day before. Times are detailed below!
SUNDAY, MAY 17 SCHEDULE:
*times subject to change based on group sizes! any changes will be announced on May 16th via email supplied on the audition form!
1-2pm - Ages 5-8
2-3pm - Ages 9-12
3-4pm - Ages 13-14
4-5pm - Ages 15+
Make up & Video Auditions:
A make up audition will be scheduled for the summer if your dance is unable to attend the main dates. Please email us if you are interested in the make up date! If a dancer absolutely cannot be there for the in-person or make up audition, we will accept a video audition. Due by June 15th! Please email for the criteria needed for video audition and how to submit!
**ALL AUDITIONERS: Bring a $20 audition fee and a dance resume; wear tight-fitting dance attire, hair back + bring ballet/jazz/lyrical/tap shoes if you have them; audition form below to be completed - it’s online this year!**
Parent/Dancer Information Meeting:
Parents and Dancers are invited to attend an information meeting about the 2026-2027 Edge Co Season! This will be on Friday, May 15th at 6:00pm at our OG studio, and a Zoom option will be available as well. Check back here for the link on the day of the meeting!
