Holding our Master Class Series is something CEDC is proud to offer to all dancers in the Charleston area. So when we heard about the opportunities that CLI Studios offers it was a no brainer! Our very first class with Teddy Forance was a huge success and our second class is around the corner!

Master Class: Hip Hop with Mel Mah
Saturday, November 18th from 5:30-6:30pm
(studio open for stretch and warm-up at 5:00pm)
Int-Adv class level (Ages 10+)
$25/dancer (Edge Co dancers $20)

MORE ABOUT MEL:
Melanie was raised in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada and has trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. She began ballet classes at the age of 5 years old and has since then earned her Advanced Foundation from the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) with distinction and her Pre-Professional certification in Vaganova ballet. In the summer of 2009, Melanie was a top 6 competitor on the second season of So You Think You Can Dance Canada where she got to work with choreographers such as Luther Brown, Blake McGrath, Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, and Stacey Tookey. She moved to LA in 2011 and has since then experienced great success in the industry. Melanie has worked with artists such as Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Becky G, Eden XO, Victoria Duffield, and Keshia Chante, and has danced on Glee, Two and a Half Men, Suburgatory, The Goldbergs, Dancing With The Stars, America’s Got Talent, and X Factor.

CLI Studios is a new online dance program that connects top choreographers with dancers and dance studios around the world. They provide online classes in contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, modern, ballet, and tap from choreographers such as Allison Holker, tWitch, Teddy Forance, Caitlin Kinney, and Kathryn McCormick.  Their program is used by dancers around the world to supplement their traditional dance education, and by dance studios to provide continuing education to their staff.
